Five Romantic Christmas Songs to Warm Your Heart
By Laura Kaye
Thanks to Sarah for hosting me today! I’m one of nine authors participating in the Kiss and Tell Tour. Since the book I’m celebrating on this tour is a holiday fantasy romance based on Greek mythology called North of Need, I thought I’d focus today on five romantic Christmas songs that warm my heart every time. Though there’s a lot of sadness around the hero and heroine’s first Christmas together, they get their happy ending by their second Christmas, so these songs can represent that part of their relationship! So, here’s five romantic songs that’ll put you in the mood for Christmas, and maybe just in the mood, too. *winks*
Toe-tapping and heartwarming: Darlene Love, “Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)”
The ultimate flirty romantic Christmas song: Louis Jordan & Ella Fitzgerald, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”
Makes you want to dance and pull the one you love under some mistletoe!: Mariah Carey, “All I Want for Christmas is You”
Another phenomenal and moving Sarah McLachlan piece: “Song for a Winter’s Night”
Going old school with a feel-good song full of winter romance: Dean Martin, “Winter Wonderland”
So, what do you think? Is your heart warmed by these songs? Or did I miss a favorite romantic Christmas song you love? Do tell! And happy holidays!
Thanks for reading!
About North of Need:
Desperate to escape agonizing memories of Christmas past, twenty-nine-year-old widow Megan Snow builds a snow family outside the mountain cabin she once shared with her husband, realizing too late that she's recreated the very thing she'll never have.
Called to life by Megan's tears, snow god Owen Winters appears unconscious on her doorstep in the midst of a raging blizzard. As she nurses him to health, Owen finds unexpected solace in her company and unimagined pleasure in the warmth of her body, and vows to win her heart for a chance at humanity.
Megan is drawn to Owen's mismatched eyes, otherworldly masculinity, and enthusiasm for the littlest things. But this Christmas miracle comes with an expiration--before the snow melts and the temperature rises, Megan must let go of her widow's grief and learn to trust love again, or she'll lose Owen forever.
